Attic Mold

Mold is extremely toxic for your health and it can spread around other parts of your home. Attic mold is enormously widespread in the Northern areas. It is usually attributable to three basic causes that are lack of ample ventilation, past roof or flashing leaks, ice damming and improperly exhausted bathroom dryer vents. The most frequent cause of attic mold is inappropriate aeration. The daytime temperature of the attic is far too humid for the mold to grow and the humidity levels inside the attic are very low to allow for mold growth. Therefore, in most attics, the mold never grows in the summer time.
If you are looking to protect mold from developing, there are many common problems areas, which you need to look into. These issuers are improper venting of dryer fans, ventilation problems and poorly installed insulation. Making the repairs in all these areas will definitely prevent mold from forming in the first place. Moisture problems can occur due to the hot air from the bathroom that is pumped into the attic, if your fan is not vented properly. Ventilation problems are the most widespread cause of attic mold. This problem occurs if the wadding is blocking vents for apt air ventilation.
This problem gets worst in the season of winter a bit due to the cold air in an attic with airing problems. When there is an insufficient amount of insulation in the attic, the warm air will increase into attic and cause condensation issues.
